SVMS Moms Giving Up Beds for Homeless Youth

This Friday night, April 29th, SVMS moms Andrea Freijomil and Mary Beth Flanagan will give up their beds for one night and sleep on the street in Newark to raise funds and awareness for homeless youth.

They will join team members: Bridget Driscoll, Geraldine Kilgore, Colleen Liddy, Claudia McIntyre, and Melissa Polito from the Covenant House Auxiliary of Morris County.

Many SVMS families support the local Covenant House Auxiliary at their annual Fall Benefit. This Sleep Out team is participating because they have been unable to hold their primary event for several years due to the pandemic.  Covenant House New Jersey relies heavily on the auxiliary's annual fundraising to operate all of their NJ locations.

Your support of this team or any individual team member would be very much appreciated.

Covenant House is more than just a youth homeless shelter. Young people, ages 18-22, are welcomed with unconditional love and provided warm meals, education opportunities, job training, medical care, mental health and substance use counseling, and legal aid - essential services designed to help them build independent futures.
