"I am incredibly grateful for your support of this effort over the past four years. I trust that I can count on that again as I go for number five! Please give whatever you can. The challenges of these past eight months has made us keenly aware of the need for solidarity with our brothers and sisters facing struggles in their lives. Please be one with me as together we accompany our young people into a brighter future, sharing with them the love of God which conquers the darkness and gives us hope. I am sleeping outside for one night so homeless kids don’t have to.

The COVID 19 Pandemic has changed many things in our lives and in our world. One thing it hasn't changed is homelessness. That is why I am recommitting this year to sleeping out on Thursday November 19 so homeless kids don't have to. Our location this year will be different. My fellow sleepers and I will be laying out our sleeping bags six feet apart  in Niles Park, Madison, NJ. We will get to know some of the young people through an interactive online experience.

I am incredibly grateful for the support I have received for this effort over the past four years. I am excited about going for year number five and welcome any support that you might be able to give.  The challenges of these past eight months has made us keenly aware  of the need for solidarity with our brothers and sisters facing struggles in their lives. This is what the sleep out is all about - not pretending to be homeless but acting in solidarity with the kids of Covenant House.  Please be one with me as together we accompany our young people into a brighter future, sharing with them the love of God which conquers the darkness and gives us hope.

One night can make a difference.

As part of my Sleep Out, I am raising funds and awareness for Covenant House, a shelter for kids experiencing homelessness and trafficking. Covenant House offers these young people so much more than a safe place to sleep - they welcome each kid with absolute respect and unconditional love, and their continuum of care provides essential services to help kids transition from homelessness to independence."
