PEE WEE BASKETBALL:

Kindergarten – Grade 3 ($40), (LATE FEE $50): Pee Wee Basketball is held on Saturday mornings between 8:00 am – 1:30 pm.  This program focuses on skills and drills, followed by a short scrimmage. Parents interested in coaching should note that on the TeamSnap registration form.

MORRIS COUNTY CATHOLIC BASKETBALL LEAGUE (Grades 4-8)

Fourth, Fifth & Sixth Grade Travel ($85), (LATE FEE $100): 

The 4^th, 5^th& 6^thGrade travel teams play under the direction of the MCCBL. There are very strict rules regarding playing time, substitutions, and defense.  Each team is only permitted to have three coaches on the bench, 1 head coach & 2 assistant coaches.  Each team is required to have a scorekeeper for each game and someone to run the clock at home games.  Please note that the 5^thGrade Girls team will compete in the 6^thgrade division as the league does not have enough teams to have their own division. We will most likely have 3 teams in that division but should only be required to play each other once during the season.

Seventh & Eighth Grade Travel ($85), (LATE FEE $100):

The 7^th& 8^th Grade teams play under the direction of the MCCBL.   The level of play in the American League (primarily 7^thgraders) and National League (primarily 8^thgraders) is quite competitive.  Play time is not evenly distributed and substitutions are made at the coaching staff’s discretion.   Each team is only permitted to have three coaches on the bench, 1 head coach & 2 assistant coaches.  Each team is required to have a scorekeeper for each game and someone to run the clock at home games.  Please note that due to number of anticipated players the 7^thand 8^thGrade Boy’s teams will be combined and will compete in the 8th grade division .

PARENT INVOLVEMENT (Pee Wee – Grade 8):

The SVMS sports programs depend on parent involvement. Our parent volunteers help with a host of activities such as door/hall duty, concession stand, score and clock keeping, and of course coaching. 

Each travel team may have 1 Head Coach and 2 Assistant Coaches.  If you are interested in coaching, you must complete the SVMS Coaching Application and submit it to the SVMS Athletic Director – Jamie Cutler (smvs.sports.jc@gmail.com) by 3pm, Monday, October 15th. Coaching applications will be reviewed and voted on by the entire Athletic Committee. Selected coaches will be notified shortly thereafter.  Please note that all coaches are required to be Virtus trained.

Thanks in advance for your help with the upcoming season. The athletic program is a self-funded endeavor that is made possible by the fees collected during registration, funds from the concession stand and most importantly your donations of time and supplies.
