Students in Kindergarten - Grade 8 participate in physical education twice a week.
In Kindergarten through Grade 2, the focus is on learning how to properly stretch and exercise, laying the groundwork for a lifetime of fitness. Tag games also add to the fun.
In Grades 3 - 8, the students have two-week units focusing on different sports such as basketball, baseball, football, soccer, lacrosse, hockey, handball, wiffle ball, kickball and ultimate frisbee. The students learn the basic rules and skills of the games while practicing sportsmanship. In Middle School, each child has the opportunity to act as the captain of a team for a unit, if desired, which inspires and develops leadership skills.
