Education Council

The purpose of the Education Council (or “Ed Council,” as it is commonly known) is to assist the pastor and the principal in the governance of the school.  The Council is comprised of the pastor, the principal, three faculty members, twelve elected parent members, and the HSA President(s). The Council is consultative in that it cannot act apart from the pastor and principal and cannot make decisions binding on the school without the approval of the pastor and principal. Consultation also means decisions will not be made in major matters until the Council has been consulted.  The areas for which the Council has the responsibility and will be consulted are: strategic planning, policy development and formulation, financing, development, and evaluation of the Council’s performance.

Education Council is comprised of several sub-committees.
