Principal's Letter

Dear Parents,

Welcome to St. Vincent Martyr School located in scenic Morris County.  Founded in 1848, SVMS has a rich spiritual and academic heritage as the oldest Catholic school in the Diocese of Paterson.  We are fully accredited by the Middle Atlantic States Association of Universities, Colleges, and Schools and have also been honored with the prestigious “No School Left Behind” Blue Ribbon School designation in 2005.

We serve over four hundred students from pre-kindergarten through grade seven with an eighth grade class beginning in the fall of 2010.  High academic standards challenge all our students to reach their potential, and a respectful, cooperative environment helps prepare our students to become productive members of our society.  We reinforce our Catholic Christian traditions with weekly Mass, prayer services, daily prayers, and Religion classes.  In addition to our full academic program, we offer art, music, physical education, computers, Spanish, and enrichment activities.  Our dedicated teachers, cooperative parents, and enthusiastic students all work together to achieve our goal of developing a strong spiritual and academic foundation for all our students.

We would be happy to show you first hand all the wonderful aspects of our school where you will experience the message our students live each day.   “We are the children of God, and our mission at St. Vincent Martyr School is to develop our minds, bodies, and hearts with Jesus always by our side.”  Please contact our Director of Admissions, Mrs. Mary Brooks to schedule an appointment to learn more about us.

Sincerely,
Virginia Gagnon, Principal
