Dear Parents,
I am delighted by your interest in
St. Vincent Martyr School located in scenic Morris County.
We are proud of our school’s rich spiritual and academic
heritage, dating back to its founding in 1848 and making it
the oldest Catholic school in the diocese of
Paterson. Fully accredited by the
Middle Atlantic States Association of Universities, Colleges and
Schools, we received the prestigious "No School Left Behind"
Blue Ribbon School designation in 2005.
At the present time we serve over four
hundred students who attend our pre-kindergarten through
grade six programs. Due to parental requests it is
anticipated that a seventh grade section will be offered for
the 2008-2009 academic year, with an eighth grade class being
added for the 2009-2010 school year. We offer a pre-school
program for three, four and five year old youngsters.
Students entering our full day kindergarten must be five on
or before October 1.
High academic standards challenge all of
our students to reach their full potential, and a
respectful, cooperative environment helps prepare youngsters
to become productive members of society. Weekly mass and
prayer services combined with daily prayer, reinforce our
religious traditions. A full academic program plus religion, art,
music, physical education, computers, Spanish, and
enrichment activities are offered to all students.
Dedicated teachers, cooperative parents
and enthusiastic students help us attain our goal of
developing a strong academic and spiritual foundation for
all of our students.
You are most welcome to schedule a visit
to our school so that you can experience first hand what our
children recite each day, “We are the children of God, and
our mission at St. Vincent Martyr
School is to develop our minds, bodies
and hearts with Jesus always by our side.”
Please contact our
Director of Admissions, Mrs. Mary Brooks at extension 203 to
schedule an appointment.
Sincerely,
Barbara B. Doyle, Principal
